Hi Eddie.  Sorry for the long delay!  Your patch looks great!  I have
incorporated into the latest SVN version of Nmap with only very minor
changes.  I hope other developers will test it out and send any
feedback they have.  The patch will also be in Nmap 4.20ALPHA2, which
I hope to release within the next 2-3 days.
