[Patch] Traceroute and DNS caching
From: "Eddie Bell" <ejlbell () gmail com>
Date: Tue, 9 Jan 2007 14:15:54 +0000

Hi all,

Here is a patch against 4.21ALPHA2 (SVN), it won't work on 4.21ALPHA1.
It adds support for parallel multiple protocol traceroutes in nmap as
well as DNS caching to improve traceroute performance.

Essentially the traces are performed backwards so nmap can use caching
to speed up traces over multiple hosts.
If you want to know more check out the man page entry for an overview
or the header in Traceroute.cc for a more detailed explanation of how
it works.

I've also attached an example trace to scanme.insecure.org

thanks
- ejlb
