Nmap Development: Nmap Binary's Alapha/Beta/Finals

Nmap Binary's Alapha/Beta/Finals

I was wondering if we would be seeing a any new NMap binaries anytime
soon with some of the mentioned patches updated fingerprints etc.
Some of us don't compile from SVN and we know that the SOC branch was
spun off for the bleeding edge stuff. It seemed like things may be
getting close to a time to release an Alpha 5 and/or an final version
while the SOC work continues with neat bleeding edge features hitting
late summer or early fall.

I sometimes wonder with new releases especially with ones that don't say
Alpha if there is a renewed interest by some in the public to check
things out. I often wonder for those that re casual observers if they
are more likely to submit a new fingerprint when a final release does
not identify something as opposed to something that says Alpha as
unfortunately so many people just figure someone else will report the
problem.

thanks for everyones hard work and good bug squashing skills.

Alan
