Thanks for the suggestion.  But actually the fingerprint itself
contains that information for OS detection (it says how many hops away
the target is from the source, with 0 being localhost).  And for
version detection, it isn't very important since TCP data is usually
not changed by intervening routers.  At least not as often as they
change TCP/IP characteristics.
