You will get further if you provide the list with more details such as (but not limited to):
*Does nmap work for you from the command-line?
*Run: ipconfig/all>myipcfg.txt
from the command prompt and attach the resulting myipcfg.txt file to an email to the list. It might tell someone on the list something about your network configuration that could explain things.
*what network card you are using.
*what version of nmap/zenmap you compiled/installed.
*anything else that you think might be relevant.
