But nmap IS in my path.

Is zenmap assuming that it's being run from an already-set-up bash
environment?  An OS X app may not have much of a unix environment
available to it by default...


 From what I had experienced, you had to have nmap installed, and the  
zenmap app actually is launching X11, not a native OS X app to mesh  
with nmap.
