Using /cygdrive/[drive letter] is the built-in behavior of Cygwin.
That way if you add external drives or map network drives, they can
still be reached with /cygdrive/[drive letter] without you needing to
"mount" them [1].
But you *can* change the default prefix if you really, really want to
[2], but most people don't.
