Debian is indeed always behind, but Ubuntu grabs a lot of packages
from Sid, so it's usually fairly up-to-date. Nmap is pretty much the
only thing I compile myself since I switched to Ubuntu last
summer--the complete opposite of Slackware that I used for many years
before that :)
