Service Detection: Pervasive.SQL database
From: Tom Sellers <nmap () fadedcode net>
Date: Fri, 13 Jun 2008 18:04:20 -0500

I have attached a set probe/match combinations that detects Pervasive.SQL
database server. This database services typically listens on TCP 1853
and 3351. The Relational database engine listens on TCP 1853 while the
Transactional database engine (Btrieve) listens on TCP 3351.

I have not been able to detect a method of detecting the software version.

The first probe is very long and about half of it consists of null bytes.
Unfortunately the service will not respond without them.

Is there anyway to indicate a repeating character in a probe q|| section?

Tom
