--stats-rate sounds more technical, IMHO.

Thanks for your input. Labeling it "rate" is misleading because the
argument doesn't represent a rate. "--stats-every 5" gives you updates
every 5 ms, not 5 updates a second. Even if the argument were changed to
be a rate, it would be awkward to say you want updates every 5 seconds;
it would be "--stats-rate 0.2".
