Thanks, I applied this in r13795 to /nmap-exp/dev/nmap. Is this the only
barrier to cross-compiling you encountered?

mmm it's been a while since i looked at nmap.  if this is the same patch as i 
have in my local git, then yes, this was the only problem i had with cross-
compiling.  nmap seemed to work fine on my embedded no-mmu Blackfin Linux 

did i send out another patch to fix out-of-tree building ?  i finished it, but 
i dont recall if i e-mailed it ...
