svn co --username guest --password ""
https://svn.nmap.org/nmap-exp/luis/nmap-bugfixes
cd nmap-bugfixes
./configure && make
cd nping
sudo ./nping --tcp-connect google.com -p80 --data
"474554202f20485454502f312e300d0a0d0a"

That payload is "GET / HTTP/1.0\r\n" hex encoded. If you pass -vvv
you'll see the payload and the data returned by the target.
