Nmap Hackers: UDP Port Scanning

UDP Port Scanning

Hi all,

I've been having a play with the UDP port scanning in nmap, and finding
that it doesn't work. It works with Windows 9* fine (what port scanner
doesn't) but if i say, port scan a router (snmp) or my local linux gateway,
whatever port i pick it tells me it's open? (even tho it's not)

I'm using "nmap2 -sU -P0 -p161 -v -v <ip>"

Ideas?

Oh and if you really want stealth scanning make sure you put in "-P0" the
"pings" nmap2 uses show up REALLY well with a good packet logger/kernel hack ;)
