Nmap Hackers: nmap / BeOS

nmap / BeOS

Hi !

I tried to get nmap compiling on BeOS.
appearently the BeOS uname gives the
config.guess script
parameters it canīt understand.
iīve tried to add a BeOS entry to make
it at least pass that
stage, but that wouldnīt work.

beos returns:
uname -r 4.5
uname -m BePC
uname -v 1000009
uname -s BeOS
(i did the entries into config.guess
already,
tried several other things. is there a
way to
configure nmap for some "general"
posixly compile,
so i can at least have the make run ?
what osīs sourcebase should i try to
copy when porting ?)

whoīs interested in helping ?
Iīld prefer direct communication to
"spamming" the
mailing list with porting questions.

FYI: BeOS 4.5 offers the GNU build
environment,
(bash, gcc, the usual stuff), posix
compatibility (sometimes limited,
but much better than NT) and a quite
limited BSD like network
library.
i noticed that the AF_* Types in
socket.h exist, but the PF_*
do not. I currently work around a
non-existing getservbyport()
from another porting project. so donīt
expect this to be a nice and
clean port.

thanks,
