Just checked with atomicturtle on IRC.  The packages do have the correct
symbol, and for him openvasmd loads fine.  He wonders if you're using
someone else's packages:

08:57:27    atomicturtle> maybe hes got someone elses openvas packages on there?
08:57:42    atomicturtle> his yum list output is too short

Maybe try update and if you still have problems ask on IRC.
