PaulDotCom: INFO: US DDoS Attack Currently Underway Against Financial Institutions

The below message was just received from the Cleveland, Ohio (USA) FBI
office, related to a DDoS attack currently being done against financial
institutions.

--> The FBI has received reporting that DDOS attacks are underway against
multiple financial institutions.  If you work for a financial institution
that has been victimized, please feel free to contact me.

If you notice that any of your facilities come under a DDoS attack or any
other unusual activity please notify the appropriate parties within your
organization right away.  It is common for a DDoS attack to cover up other
actions or operations by keeping the IT & Security teams busy fighting the
DDoS and in turn being unavailable to notice or even handle the real attack.
Please pass this along to your IT and security staff.
