Penetration Testing: How to become a professional penetration tester?

I have been reading the archives for the past three days and I  would like
know where could I find a list of penetration testing companies that give
summer jobs and or internship positions in the U.S. so I may gain more
experience in the field during my college years. Also, I would like to know
if there are any courses in particular that I should take in Computer
Science to become a penetration tester.
