Hi Laura,
It seems you now have a mountain of documentation to read, but
there's not much around in the way of tools. I found a similar
thing a while back, so I wrote one. It's by no means an exhaustive
test of a DNS server as you can do everthing it does with nslookup or
dig, but I have found that it speeds things up a bit. I have seen
some tools that will query for version.bind or do mass resolutions,
but not all - so please try this one, hope it is of use/help to
someone.
It's the first script I ever wrote in Perl, so the style is probably
a bit poor, but it works ;-)
