Re: Sniff telnet connections

No offense to Carlo but he does not have the basic skills or
understanding of how to conduct the test he is talking about doing.
There are a lot of variables here (not to mention the ROE) and, in my
opinion, he has a lot of other skills to learn before he can conduct
the test.

"even if one was able to do everything the apps is supposed to be able
to do, one might not know all the bells and whistles of the appps to
see all the gory fun details that an experienced user will be able to
show in a matter of minutes"

Not sure what you are trying to say here.

"i use a modified pfilt ( local sniffing ) to show login/passwd and
complete email or web contents moving over the wire vs remote
sniffing"

That's great and all but he was talking about a Telnet session not a
web app or email.

that is 99% ture of jsut about all the the questions where "they"
didn't know how to solve the problem

even if one was able to do everything the apps is supposed to be
able to do, one might not know all the bells and whistles of the
appps to see all the gory fun details that an experienced user
will be able to show in a matter of minutes

i use a modified pfilt ( local sniffing ) to show login/passwd and
complete email or web contents moving over the wire vs remote sniffing
