If you do this, make sure you ditch Network Manager. It's the biggest
pain in the ass when it comes to wireless hacking, because it randomly
decides to put your card back into managed mode, or switch channels. A
different wireless network connection GUI that seems to work well with
aircrack-ng and kismet is wicd, and it's much more flexible than
Network Manager as well.
