Penetration Testing: anti-spam appliance testing

Hi,

we are having a PoC of anti-spam appliance, however i'm having a
difficulty to finding tools to test the anti-spam appliance.. I don't
think a mail bomber is enough for that, do anyone have suggestions
another tools to do so? especially when spam is beyond than just a
"text" email..

any inputs are welcome and appriciated..
