Subject: Privacy Conference

Dear Declan,

Donna Wentworth from Harvard Law School/The Berkman Center suggested I send you some information about a conference we are organizing on Privacy. I hope you will be willing to send it out to your politech list, as I'm sure many of the recipients would find the conference quite interesting. Following are the details:

PRIVACY Conference at New School University in New York City, October 5-7, 2000. The keynote address will be presented by Charles Nesson, Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and Director of The Berkman Center for Internet & Society. Other speakers include Marc Rotenberg, Executive Director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center; Jerry Berman, Director of the Center for Democracy & Technology; and Larry Lessig, Professor of Law at Stanford Law School. A concluding panel discussion will be moderated by Kenneth Prewitt, Director of the U.S. Census Bureau. Full-time students with valid ID are admitted free. For more information please contact the conference office at (212) 229-2488 or socres () newschool edu Visit our web site at:
http://www.newschool.edu/centers/socres/privacy

Thank you very much - please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Magda Wolinski
Conference Coordinator
