Thanks for taking the time to help James, below is the full config but the changes that I have made are

I had this set to any but didn't get alerts so changed it be our public /26 subnet but still the same

tried these initially as the default relative path ../rules etc before changing them to be actual full paths but no 
change

I cant believe that is the only attack we would see, we are ecommerce
and app logs are full of people probing to see what they can/cant get
into, I have downloaded the lastest rule set and updated as directed
but can only detect a SNMP probe.
