Note that this profiling of suspicious laptop users is easily avoided by walking around for a few hours with a shiny ipaq in your pocket :) Not only that, but if they send enough wireless traffic, it would allow cracking WEP keys. (This holds true for any wireless deployment, obviously) Unless they are using VPN or sending very little traffic over a WEP encrypted channel, they are still at risk.
