Where can i find small amounts of those dirt cheap? ;) Any pointers?
In late '96, I purchased a single CRYPTOCard RB-1 "DES
Challenge-Response Token" at a cost of ~$100US. I don't know if
this is "dirt cheap" by your standards, however it was for me
since I didn't have to purchase any special software or programming
hardware (you can load keys into the token with the keypad).
Visit http://www.cryptocard.com/ for more info.
I hacked a few of the programs in Wietse Venema's logdaemon
package to support the cryptocard in <1 day. It's pretty simple.
:) I ended up with a telnetd that only allowed cryptocard logins,
and I also hacked up a clone of the skeylogin program so that I
could use my cryptocard with SSH.
Have fun,
