***.***.***.***
Hopefully ***.***.***.*** is you hiding the IP address of the host you
want to scan.
You should grab the latest 3.93 version of nmap. Nmap (thanks to libpcap/winpcap) doesn't really support PPP (dial-up) links, particularly since XPsp2. (IIRC) Hope that helps. OK, it looks like I'm getting the same problem under Windows XP SP2. Can someone give me a couple of hints where to look in the code base? I ran into this today on a laptop. I was able to run a scan "nmap xx.xxx.x.xxx -v -sV -p 23". The first scan ran through clean after running the scan several more times it failed with the message; " \nmap-3.93>nmap 64.139.2.219 -v -sV -p 23 Starting nmap 3.93 ( http://www.insecure.org/nmap ) at 2005-10-12 12:27 Pacific Daylight Time nexthost: Failed to determine dst MAC address for target 64.139.2.219 QUITTING! " Any ideas where I should start looking for this one? Sean _______________________________________________ Sent through the nmap-dev mailing list http://cgi.insecure.org/mailman/listinfo/nmap-dev
