Woohoo! After all these years, our SVN repository revision number
finally hit five figures:
flog~/nmap>svn commit -m "Whew! Major update to the CHANGELOG in preparation for a new release" CHANGELOG
Sending CHANGELOG
Transmitting file data .
Committed revision 10000.
flog~/nmap>
Version 9,999 was by you about an hour ago, and related to a crash
when you click "Cancel" in the Zenmap file chooser in the diff
interface.
The amazing thing is how fast we're been committing lately:
Jan 1, 2000: 475
Jan 1, 2001: 926
Jan 1, 2002: 1,269
Jan 1, 2003: 1,641
Jan 1, 2004: 2,095
Jan 1, 2005: 2,523
Jan 1, 2006: 3,024
Jan 1, 2006: 3,024
Jan 1, 2007: 4,316
Jan 1, 2008: 6,661
Sep 5, 2008: 10,000
In other words, we've made more commits in the first 9 months of this
year than in the whole period from 1/1/00 to 1/1/07! Admittedly
during most of those years I was the only committer and so I did a lot
more work between commits. But it is still pretty impressive! When
do you think we'll reach 20,000? 100,000?
Revision 5,000 was by Doug last June:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
r5000 | doug | 2007-06-23 00:58:18 -0700 (Sat, 23 Jun 2007) | 2 lines
Changed paths:
M /nmap-exp/soc07/nmap/nse_pcrelib.cc
NULL is NOT a valid PCRE pointer :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
And with that navel gazing out of the way, I'll get back to preparing
the new 4.69BETA1 release!
Cheers,
-F
