Dude, why do you fret? :o) There is snort for Windows, and it works quite well for me. You should download the gui-based IDSCenter, which is a great front end to ease configuration and management of Snort. See? Who said that Windows admins couldn't share the open source fun of the *nix purists? For snort, of course go to http://www.snort.org If you want IDSCenter, get it here: http://www.engagesecurity.com/products/idscenter/ Give it a try, and give a shout if you have trouble.
