Strictly on the network side (less security focus), I wonder if a CCDA/CCDP course would suit that? Sure it's a Cisco vendor specific, but that's their "designing networks" track and seems to go into that sort of area, especially on the CCDP level.
There are some IDS vendors offering training/certs too. They may offer something along the lines of "IDS deployment on a network". Then there's also firewalls and VPNs to focus on. It seems like a lot of people think of security as a "tack-on", which is unfortunate. I hope others come up with something.
