Bryan: At the outset, unless your server is protected by a firewall etc., not registering it in the DNS is not going to make it more secure except for the most basic of attacks. However, if your reasons are purely aesthetic there are couple of ways to go about it: 1. On a windows network, you can map the web-directory under a specific "share" name (on every client in your network) and reference that name in the URLS pointing to your server. Then this is what the users will see on their browser. 2. You can try using http proxy running on a 3rd system (which is on the DNS) that masks the IP address of your web server. Balaji
