RE: File Catching Firewall?

I understand you may be looking for non-commercial stuff. But eSafe
Gateway (aladdin software) does this very well. I wouldn't run it *as*
your firewall, but it works very nicely placed directly behind one. Not
the cheapest solution out there, but it's worked very well for our
customers.

A drawback is that it doesn't nab nasties out of non-standard ports.
But it sweeps smtp, http, ftp, and pop3 very well, stripping out spam
and malware using a whole big mix of technologies.

Was asked to look into maybe putting in a Linux box in front
of our mail server to stop the massive amounts of email
attachments we have been receiving as of late due to
'MyDoom'. We currently have a WG FireBoxII and software on
our Mail Server that is supposed to be catching everything,
but with so much coming in it's missing alot. I was wondering
if anyone had any ideas on some type of solution for this,
all input is greatly appreciated.
