Nobody will give you a job as engineer because of CompTIA certifications.
One question, how did you acquire a position as a NSE without a certification? FWIW, security+ is considered the beginning certification for a career track in the computer security field. You will find that it pretty much is just to get "your foot in the door". I am pretty sure that securityfocus and sans/giac has a career progression poster documenting the normal track of certifications for a given field in CS/IS. hth. Thomas <snip>
