Hi list,

have any of you obtained $SUBJ certifications already?
I saw objectives and sample questions and it looks like pretty easy.
Is it usefull to have it or not?
Thanks, Michal

By reading your signature "network security engineer" I say its
absolutely useless to pay around 400$ for those foundation exams.
Nobody will give you a job as engineer because of CompTIA
certifications.
One question, how did you acquire a position as a NSE without a certification?

FWIW, security+ is considered the beginning certification for a career track
in the computer security field. You will find that it pretty much is just to
get "your foot in the door".

I am pretty sure that securityfocus and sans/giac has a career progression
poster documenting the normal track of certifications for a given field in
CS/IS.
