Solaris certs are good.
I don't know much about Linux certs. But since you are learning "Unix" might as well work on Linux certs too.
Look if Checkpoint is the primary choice of banks then get Checkpoint certs. You might want also get GIAC certs.

All I can tell you is what I would do or have done.

CCNA
Solaris
(some basic Linux certs)
Checkpoint
GIAC

You are doing the right thing, looking to see what is required for the area of work you want.
Remember though you might need some "lower" level certs to get started, like basic Microsoft or A+ certs.

thinking about a "mature" job in a "mature" company (Like the Bank of
America) in 3 years down the line.  For these 3 years i plan to work
in a midlevel company called focuz inorder to get the required
