Hopefully others correct me if I am wrong, but I feel that unless you do wireless scanning, you cannot ensure that you don't have a rogue AP up in your network. As a note, it might help to know what you mean by rogue AP. There are two typical uses for this and which one you mean might change your responses: 1) Do you mean detecting any wireless networks put up by your users and you currently do not have a wireless network? (not too hard) 2) Do you want to detect rogue APs that are masquerading as your AP? (more difficult) <- snip -> What are you guys doing to detect rouge access points? I am interested in detection without the use of wireless technonlogy. Are you simply using NAC for this? Are you scanning and automatically disabling ports?
