Hi,

Ive tried awstats and I don't feel impressed when I compare it to
splunk. Splunk is truly a better tool for log analysis and many more
features. If you have logs that come into total of less that 500MB in
size then you can snatch the free version and be happy on your way. If
you have more than that then buying the commercial version should be a
good idea.
