This is what I call the Google Gap - if you don't know what you're looking for to begin with, you won't find it. The best strategy is to find a good outline and understand the core concepts you need to master. If you're a DoD network defender you might want to worry about network enumeration and specific tools like nmap. Only AFTER you have a basic list, will google be much help. To get videos, just use their video search - you'll see lots of nmap examples. I also love the work that the community has done at Wikipedia. There's great content and links that tie terms to other content but you're still best to have an intro outline of concepts, terminology, etc. Also, be aware that vendors, IEEE and other associations may all have different terms for the same concept. A search engine assists those knowledgeable in a field but is a very poor learning mgmt system.
