P2P traffic analysis

I am looking to collect stats about p2p traffic on network. I am
interested in things like users involved, protocols used, type of
files shared. Is there any tool that can help me do that.

Similarly , is the any tool that can tell me types of contents
transfered over http protocols like pdf, mp3, video streaming.
