That is correct.
As long as crypto key generate command has run this should work fine.

Also need to remember that access-lists should be applied to limit the
access to know hosts.

If these are all on the internal network is their a need to use SSH ???????

line vty 0 15
transport input ssh

options are all, none, ssh, telnet

default is likely all, limiting to ssh effectively disables telnet

Could you paste your "show running-config"? Remember to hide your
password/keys.
