It's a joke.

Go with CISSP, CISA, etc. Avoid CompTIA.

The only reason to get a CompTIA cert is for OEM requirements; I had to be A+ certified in order to do stuff for HP, 
even though it had nothing to do with my work.

Yes, I'm Sec+ certified... Test was a complete joke and had nothing to do with actual security.

Specifically, the Security+ http://certification.comptia.org/getCertified/certifications/security.aspx

I basically want to know if they are as worldwide recognised as they say they are, and will a Security+ qualification 
look good to a potential employer. Or will they never had heard of it?
