We are considering using Multinet PMDF to handle SMTP mail on a bastion host. Does anyone know of any security holes in PMDF? In particular, is it immune to all the (known) sendmail security holes? I realise PMDF is not sendmail, but a random probe is likely to be aimed at sendmail and it would not be the first time that independently developed programs shared a common bug.
PMDF is made by a company call Innosoft. MultiNet is made by a company
called TGV; it is a TCP/IP platform for PC's and VMS Alphas and VAXen.
PMDF is an email engine.
You might have better luck sending your question to:
service () innosoft com
and asking them for their mailing list so you can ask the users
their experience.
