ANNOUNCE: RATS 1.1 (beta)

Version 1.1 of RATS, the Rough Auditing Tool for Security has been
released. RATS is a source code auditing tool. It will scan C, Perl
and Python source code and flag common security related programming
mistakes. Using RATS can greatly aid source audits, allowing the
auditor to quickly find known problem areas within the code.
Version 1.1 is BETA software. The next stable release will be 1.2.
New in version 1.1:
Ability to scan Perl programs for vulnerabilites.
Ability to scan Python programs for vulnerabilities.

reports and other comments to the RATS development team at
rats () securesw com. This address can also be used to submit your own
additions to the vulnerabilty databases.
