There are many folks in the US security scene (I'd say hackers but I don't
mean to be lame) who are trying to actively help, in addition to donations.
Using the internet to help coordinate finding places to stay for the refugees
fleeing the area west towards Texas, for example, has been one way folks
are helping.

It's times like this I hate the fact that it appears we have some legitimate
reason to be embarassed in front of our European collegues
about our federal government's incompetence at disaster management.
One tries not to imagine what they'll do if confronted with a "digital
Pearl Harbor".
