It's really ammusing that they are trying to patent this.
If anybody has the patent info, can you forward it to either
the list or me directly... I'm almost %100 sure that this patent
can be stopped (it all depends on what exactly they are trying
to patent though) because there's a lot of prior work in this field.
I've done a lot of research in the area of detecting machine code
in network traffic and I know there are several known techniques
and algorithms for doing just that (and some of them are pretty
successful by the way). I will dig that info up and post it
pretty soon. Hopefully, we can make the world a favor and
stop this patent.
