So in a way we have a bit of a black box, in terms of a security device, that no one knows what is going on in there, and it is a perfect place to hide stuff. " I give it ten minutes after the drives hit the streets before it gets cracked.
You can count on those guys: http://www.acelab.ru/index.eng.html They already have all the stuff required to remove ATA passwords on most drives today. It's just a matter of hidden commands, like accessing negative sectors.
