according to mainstream media , known to be inaccurate but somewhat on the point , Iran is among the top 3 Cyber threats to U.S and i am not going to waste our time in copy/paste Stuxnet and Aramco bullshit , specially when they are not even accurate bullshit ( trust me or fck off ) . recently i saw a strange and rather mindful move from the Iranian Authority who gets to register domain names , nic.ir , the national registrar . now , look at the image . for a "test" of the idea i heard about some night ago in a dark ally , i tried to register some provocative names in .ir realm , and surprisingly they were all rejected . names were :

Cyberoffense.ir
Cyberconflict.ir
CyberJihad.ir
myJihadPortal.ir

thing is i dont know should i be happy or should i be very sad - something is happening out of ordinary ( in our norm ) and due to complex politics scene a final judgment on this issue seems difficult . a recent deal between two italian and iranian operators for a very long underground/undersea cable , to act as a hub in ME in iran and the whole sanctions uplifting tone might be a factor here. here is an idea for offensive dudes who cant want to go to INFILTRATE 2016 ( i am told there is a bjj class where if you win the female opponent , she is yours , in your room , until morning and offense just starts there ..) here one subject of discussion :

what if some international authority gradually brings all the nations to the table and agree each nation-state is responsible for the traffic comes in /out no matter how under what contract and if somebody started a major conflict the countries involved are legally binding and must confront court . such LAW makes nation-states act harsh on their local authority toward organized crime/conflict/small to medium scale CNA that just belittle administration's ability to control its zone and all the waves moving through it .

is such system of governance sounds good to ethics advocates and freedom of speech theoreticians ? question being asked under shadow of a complicated arms export regime and "dual use" tech ( refer to ISBN 9780262017176 , MIT press )

-dp

brothers . its essentially you understand what dual use really stands for and why exploits and cyber offense is getting the same treatment . the book , far from Cyber , gives you a good picture and a more "subtle attitude" :> this is not a plug . i just happen to like the book . no affiliations whatsoever .
