Utah hospital billing records from over 2 million patients stolen

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Billing records have been stolen from a business that does work for the University of Utah 
Hospitals and Clinics.

Spokeswoman Chantelle Turner says the records have information from 2.2 million patients. She declined to disclose 
additional details until a 1 p.m. news conference Tuesday.

At that time, the hospital and Salt Lake County Sheriff Jim Winder will explain how patients will be notified about the 
theft.
