T-Mobile: No security breach in alleged hacking

[Jeez, which is it? Rumors, genuine, no breach.. this is ridiculous. The
AP article below calling the person a 'blogger' is annoying too. Unless I
missed it, the claim was made via a post to the Full-Disclosure mail
list. That is not a blog. A person who posts to a mail list is not a
blogger. Surprised to see AP do this. -jericho]

T-Mobile: No security breach in alleged hacking
* Posted on - Tue Jun 9, 2009 4:59PM EDT

BELLEVUE, Wash. -

T-Mobile USA Inc. said Tuesday that it did not suffer a security breach
after a blogger this weekend claimed to have hacked into the company's
servers.

T-Mobile, a unit of Deutsche Telekom AG in Germany, said it's
investigating the allegation and has found no evidence that hackers got
any customer or company information.

On Saturday, a blogger claimed "we have everything, their databases,
confidential documents, scripts and programs from their servers, financial
documents up to 2009."

The blogger said T-Mobile's rivals weren't interested in buying the data,
so the offer is now open to the highest bidder. A long list of T-Mobile
server names were posted on the blog.

T-Mobile spokesman Peter Dobrow said the company is looking into the
possibility that an internal document was leaked. He will not confirm
whether the server names were authentic, although other online reports
said they were real.

The company said an investigation is ongoing.
