Colleagues-

On a related question, have these 3 newly-labeled "extremely critical"
IE bugs spurred any increased consideration at your institutions of
alternative browsers such as Firefox?

Montclair State is perhaps in the minority as we have always promoted
Netscape, Mozilla, and most recently Firefox as our browser(s) of choice
for all faculty and staff. With the mind share and media attention that
Firefox is currently enjoying (deservedly so, IMHO) now may be a unique
opportunity for institutions to begin seriously exploring - no pun
intended - its use as a viable alternative to IE.

Has anyone had unusual concerns [more than usual] about the IE
vulnerability recently described on Secunia:

"Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Internet Explorer, which can
be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system, conduct
cross-site/zone scripting and bypass a security feature in Microsoft
Windows XP SP2.
"

Some have indicated it's exploitable without user intervention upon
arriving at a hostile site.
