Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) - December 4-10, 2011 - is a call to action to share information and offer
activities that will advocate for computing and elevate computer science education for students at all levels. EDUCAUSE
is supporting CSEdWeek because computer science is an important part of IT, the mechanism our community uses to support
the advancement of higher education.

Everyone can participate, and as members of the higher education IT community we invite you to help lead the charge.
Below are a few easy ways to participate.

1. Take the pledge to show your support (http://www.csedweek.org/forms/sign/pledge-step1). Help us reach the goal of
3500 pledges!
2. Follow @CSEdWeek on Twitter and post Key Facts About Computer Science using the #csedweek hashtag.
3. Print or request copies of the Computer Science Teachers Association posters to hang in your IT department.
4. Forward CSEdWeek information to other departments on your campus and ask them to participate, too.
5. Consider posting the CSEdWeek logo (attached) on your website and hyperlink it to www.csedweek.org.

Attached is a document outlining additional ways to help celebrate computer science education.

This week is an activity of the Computing in the Core coalition: http://www.computinginthecore.org/.

Thank you,
Valerie
