What is your reasoning for blocking games on your network? Is this a dorm/res-hall network or and academic network or something else?
I like to think of our dorm network as my home. If I was living in the dorm what kind of network access would I want? Would I be upset if my games didn't work? Most definitely. We do our best to not block anything on our dorm network unless there is a really good reason to. And as far as I am aware, our students have no issues with using our network to play games of all kinds.

Hello, I have been requested to provide connectivity for a gamer club using the college’s network and internet connection. What are others doing? Am I over reacting by not allowing such activity? Thanks much, Randy Sprague Enterprise and Infrastructure Manager Cincinnati State Technical and Community College
